Laurie Phillips
Laurie Has been helping the Pocket Theatre since Fall of 06' with the production of The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds. She started out jsut helping out with what ever she could and was one of four production assistances. Likeing the atmosphere of the Pocket Theatre Laurie decided to go back and help out with the spring production of Much Ado About Nothing which instead of just helping out and being a Production Assistant she deiced to help out a little more and join up with Ashley to not only design the set for Much Ado About Nothing but also do the lighting and sound for the play. After a great year of realizing this was alot of fun Laurine went on to again design the set for the Fall 07' production of Steel Magnolias and instead of being a production assistant she moved on to Stage Manager, and on top of that helped again with lighting and sound for that production. After the success of Steel Magnolias Laurie decided her place was doing everything and anything backstage instead of on stage, figuring out she didnt quite have the excitement of being in the spotlight. So the next production, which would be Spring 08 of You Can't Take It With You, she decided to take a wack at student directing. After that play that's where shes gonna stay doing everything that can be done possible behind the stage.
